All Poudre School District schools will participate in Lockdown Drill Week between Nov.
The PSD Board of Education approved a change to Bamford Elementary School’s feeder pattern, beginning in the 2025-26 school year. Students who reside in Bamford’s attendance area will now attend Preston Middle School and Fossil Ridge High School (FRHS) when they enter sixth and ninth grade, respectively.
Poudre School District will begin accepting both school registration and first-round school choice applications for the 2025-26 school year on the same date: Monday, Nov. 4.

In an effort to foster a culture of mutual respect, effective communication, and quality customer service, PSD has created a set of norms for staff, family/guardian, and community engagement. These norms aim to set a positive tone for interactions between staff and parents and community members, whether they happen in person, over the phone, or in writing.

On the final day of the C.A.N.S. Around The Oval food and fund drive, donations from 13 Poudre School District schools arrived at Colorado State University’s Oval. PSD schools raised over 14,000 pounds of food and almost $10,000 in monetary donations this year.
Whether your child is enrolling in Poudre School District for the very first time or moving up a level to a PSD middle or high school, attending an open house is a great way to get acquainted with the people and programs at schools.
In accordance with House Bill 24-1164, PSD is now required to provide free menstrual supplies (pads and tampons) to all menstruating students by the summer of 2028. A gradual deployment of dispensers and supplies has started, and free menstrual products will eventually be in all female-designated restrooms at all PSD middle and high schools (including locker rooms), as well as female-designated restrooms in fourth- and fifth-grade halls at PSD elementary schools and all single stall/gender-neutral restrooms in the district.
