Attend a PSD session about School Performance Frameworks used in school improvement efforts

If you’d like to learn about the School Performance Frameworks and Poudre School District's accountability process for the 2024-25 school year, plan to attend an informational session in September.

Sessions will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17, and Monday, Sept. 30, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Futures Ready Event Center, 215 E. Foothills Parkway (Foothills Mall), Suite 510.

Introducing PSD’s new director of Curriculum and Instruction

During her first teaching assignment Amanda Kreiger realized that a career in education was the right path for her.

“I enjoyed interacting with students and hearing their thoughts and ideas. I watched students have that “ah ha” moment during class discussions, and I was hooked,” she said.

Kreiger joined the Poudre School District team in July as the new director of the Curriculum and Instruction Department. In her role, she hopes to blend her love of learning into her work and foster an environment where all perspectives are welcome.

PSD summer projects - access may be limited at some schools and buildings

This summer Poudre School District staff have several projects happening at schools and sites across the district. Some schools and district buildings may be closed or offer limited access while work is being done. Most projects are expected to be completed by late August.

Projects at schools include renovations like door, floor, and roof replacements, shade structure installations and/or maintenance, outdoor playground, field and tennis courts maintenance and more.

Transportation audit results and recommendations being implemented

Last fall, Poudre School District enlisted the help of consulting firm the Center for Effective School Operations (CESO) to examine transportation-related practices and procedures in the district. CESO’s findings and recommendations were presented to the PSD Board of Education on June 11, 2024.

PSD will implement or is already in the process of implementing every recommendation listed below, as well as other recommendations from CESO:
