Webber Middle School welcomes new principal Steven Watkins

Dear Poudre School District Families,

We are excited to announce that Steven Watkins has been named the next principal of Webber Middle School, beginning with the 2025-26 school year. Mr. Watkins is a passionate educator with a strong background in student support and leadership, and he is eager to partner with families, staff, and students to continue Webber’s tradition of excellence.

Webber Middle School PanthersMr. Watkins has been part of Poudre School District for more than a decade, serving as a paraprofessional, teacher, and administrator. He began his PSD teaching career at Kinard Middle School before spending the last six years as an assistant principal at Wellington Middle-High School, where he helped lead the opening of the new building and its transition from a middle school to a middle-high model. Prior to joining PSD, he also taught in Oklahoma City and the Thompson School District.

Growing up in Oklahoma, Mr. Watkins worked with children in nonprofit settings before becoming an educator. His dedication to student success extends beyond his professional experience—his own children attend PSD schools, giving him a personal connection to the district’s mission.

Outside of school, Mr. Watkins enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors, especially camping with his family in Red Feather. He looks forward to getting to know Webber students, staff, and families and working together to create an environment where every student can thrive.

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Watkins to this new role.

Sincerely,

Brian Kingsley
Superintendent
