When does registration open for the upcoming school year?
Registration will open for the 2026-27 school year on Nov. 3 for grades 1 through 12. Kindergarten registration will open on Dec. 3.
How do I register my child for school in PSD?
You can register your child for school on the PSD website at the following link. You can also call the school you are planning to register your child at for registration help
What documents do I need to provide to complete registration?
To register your child to attend school in the Poudre School District, you will need to provide immunization records along with proof of residence. You will not need to provide a birth certificate to register your child.
How do I find out which school is my neighborhood school?
Use the Find My School page.
Is a choice-only school the same as a charter school?
No, choice-only schools are PSD public schools that do not have designated neighborhood boundaries, so they require a School of Choice application to attend.
Charter schools are authorized by PSD or by the Charter Schools Institute and operate largely independently from the district.
What if I’m new to the district and need to register my student after the start of the school year?
Registration for neighborhood school is open year-round. Reach out to your neighborhood school and school and provide the information required to register your student.
Can I register my child to go to a PSD school if I live outside of PSD boundaries?
Yes. Complete the PSD School of Choice process to apply to attend a PSD school.
