Summer EBT Program
The Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) will start delivering Summer EBT nutritional support to nearly half a million Colorado children in late May. To ensure families can easily access these benefits, CDHS launched new bilingual digital tools to check enrollment, manage accounts and streamline access for families across the state.
These tools, designed to help families track and manage these funds, include the new Summer EBT Online Portal, which is now available in English and Spanish. The Portal allows households to proactively manage the funds and their enrollments.
Summer EBT provides a one-time $120 grocery benefit per eligible child to help bridge the summer hunger gap when typically school meals are unavailable. While many families are enrolled automatically, others may need to apply.
How to Prepare for Late May Issuance:
- Check Enrollment: Families can use the new Colorado Summer EBT Enrollment Checker to see if their child is already registered or if an application is required.
- Update Information: Families currently receiving SNAP, Medicaid or Colorado Works should ensure their mailing address is up to date in the Summer EBT Online Portal to receive their Summer EBT cards without delay.
