Poudre High School’s new principal is already a familiar face among students and staff - one who has been at the school for 25 years. Carey Christensen, an assistant principal and athletic director at PHS, will begin work in her new role in July. 

Lopez Elementary, a Leader in Me School is officially one of fewer than 20 Leader in Me Legacy Schools in the world!

Leader in Me is an evidence-based education model designed by Franklin Covey Education to build perseverance and leadership in students. The model emphasizes the skills of critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, problem solving, setting and achieving goals, and more to create a culture and climate dedicated to helping students find the leader in themselves.

The Facilities Planning Steering Committee continues to work thoughtfully and tirelessly to develop updated scenarios for potential school consolidations and boundary adjustments. We previously communicated that the committee anticipated the updated scenarios would become publicly available on May 7. 

Update:

When teen mental health struggles spiked during the height of the pandemic, the need for increased support and awareness became more urgent than ever before.  

Poudre School District took note and took action.
