Unified Improvement Plan

Unified Improvement Plan

Each year, PSD is required by state law to create a Unified Improvement Plan that details how the school district is going to improve student achievement. This plan addresses state and federal requirements in Colorado's Accountability Act and the federal No Child Left Behind Act.

Three Major Improvement Strategies Included in 2014 Plan

The Poudre School District Board of Education approved the 2014 Unified Improvement Plan on January 28, 2014.  Per the requirements of the Education Accountability Act of 2009 (Senate Bill 163), each school district in Colorado is required to submit a Unified Improvement Plan annually. PSD's plan will be submitted to the Colorado Department of Education for review and will become the district's official plan on April 15.  All current district Unified Improvement Plans (and those for each school) are posted on the Colorado Department of Education's SchoolVIEW webpage for public review.

When visiting CDE, look under School Performance (Green circle), then choose District (Poudre R-1). Then look in the right box and click on Improvement Plan.

PSD thanks the parents, community members, teachers, and administrators who have collaborated to develop the major improvement strategies.  Each strategy, as well as the action steps, implementation benchmarks, and success criteria were developed by strategy teams who have met on a regular basis since last summer.
