Food Advisory Panel

As part of implementation of the new DE 1.0 goal, the district has assembled a panel of local experts to advise district administration on the course of a program evaluation for its Child Nutrition program.

The Food Advisory Panel consists of:

  • Medical Professional: Susan Klingner, M.D. (Associates in Family Medicine)
  • Community Nutrition Expert: Leslie Cunningham-Sabo (Professor of Nutrition, CSU)
  • Organic Food Industry: Sadie Westhoff (Team Leader, Whole Foods Fort Collins)
  • Food Service Professional: Deon Lategan (Director of Student Dining, CSU)
  • Local Chef: Patrick St. Clair (Executive Chef, Hilton Fort Collins)

 

This panel will meet periodically to discuss the following items:

  1. Reveiw of current Child Nutrition operations and department overview
  2. Survey to the community about child nutrition offerings/program in schools
  3. Recommendation of process for program evaluation
  4. Review of program evaluation results
  5. Recommendation of additions and/or changes to the Child Nutrition program based on program evaluation outcomes
