Poudre School District is pleased to share that Colleen Dodge has been selected as the next principal of Preston Middle School, beginning with the 2025-26 school year. Mrs. Dodge is a dedicated and student-centered leader with a strong background in both special education and school administration.
Her educational journey began as a special education teacher at Fletcher Miller School, where she served students with significant support needs and later worked in the Lighthouse Program, a specialized setting for students with complex behavioral needs. In recent years, Mrs. Dodge has served as assistant principal at Wheat Ridge High School and at Altona Middle School—both schools recognized as "Schools to Watch," a distinction Preston proudly shares.
As a leader, she believes every child deserves access to high-quality learning and meaningful opportunities to explore their interests through clubs, extracurriculars, and a robust academic experience. She is a proud mother of five adult children and recently celebrated her youngest becoming a freshman at Colorado State University. In her free time, she enjoys running and recently completed her first marathon.
Please join us in welcoming Colleen Dodge as she prepares to lead Preston Middle School into its next chapter.
