PSD voluntary connections survey for students in grades 4-12

Poudre School District students in grades 4 -12 will have an opportunity to take a voluntary online student connections survey between Monday, Oct. 21, and Friday, Nov. 22. This survey, available in English and Spanish, will be delivered to students through the PSD student email system and take 15-30 minutes to complete.

Survey results to inform staff about student connections

The purpose of the survey is to provide PSD principals and their teams with useful information to ensure that every student feels connected at school. Connections are the result of feeling understood, cared about, supported and valued. Feeling connected to others helps us be motivated toward a positive future and make the most of educational experiences.

Responses to the fall 2024 “PSD Student Connections Survey” are not anonymous. Students responses will be available to the school principal and their staff. Information collected on this survey is intended to assist staff as they support students through the remainder of this school year. Survey results will not become part of a student's permanent school/educational record.

How to opt out of the survey

A student/family can choose not to receive an email invitation to take the survey by completing an opt-out request by 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 13. To opt out, you must review the survey (linked below) and complete the opt-out form on the last page.

The survey is available in English and Spanish. Please contact your family liaison if you need support with interpretation in another language, including Arabic.

Thank you for helping PSD to better understand students' feelings of connection related to their school experience. National research, as well as local experience, indicate that students who feel connected to the adults at school, their peers, and their interest and passions while engaging in school are more likely to reach their potential and have an optimal school experience.
