At their Aug. 27, 2024, meeting, the Poudre School District Board of Education voted unanimously to refer a mill levy question to the Nov. 5 ballot.
If approved by voters, the measure would provide $49 million per year to:
- Maintain aging school buildings to extend their useful life, including installation of air conditioning in buildings that do not currently have it
- Expand career and technical education spaces and update curriculum, resources and classroom materials, including materials for the arts, music, physical education, athletics and technology to better prepare students for their future
- Attract and retain exceptional teachers and staff
- Support neighborhood schools
