Tobey Bassoff Named as Poudre School District's Newest Assistant Superintendent

Tobey Bassoff has been selected as Poudre School District’s Assistant Superintendent for Area C, which serves the Rocky Mountain and Wellington Middle High School feeders and supports the Early Childhood and Professional Learning and Educator Effectiveness departments, effective July 1, 2026. Bassoff brings more than 25 years of experience in public education and a deep commitment to strengthening instruction and developing school leaders. 

Bassoff joins PSD from Adams 12 Five Star School District, where she serves as Executive Director of Schools, supporting elementary and K-8 principals. In that role, she has led efforts to strengthen instructional systems, align professional learning, and build leadership capacity. This work is grounded in her belief that strong relationships and strong instruction create the conditions for students to thrive.

Prior to Adams 12, Bassoff served as an Instructional Superintendent in Denver Public Schools and spent more than a decade in Boulder Valley School District as a principal and assistant principal. As principal of Ryan Elementary STEAM School, she led the school to improve its state ratings while building a collaborative culture and partnerships that expanded opportunities for students and families. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her close partnership with school leaders, providing direct, actionable feedback and helping principals turn vision into sustained results.

Bassoff holds a Master of Education from Columbia University and dual bachelor's degrees from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
