Poudre School District was once again recognized as a Gold Leader by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment at the recent Environmental Leadership Program awards in Denver. At the awards ceremony in Denver, PSD was “renewed” as a gold leader and given the distinction for the next three years (2012-2015).
In addition, Kinard Middle School and Wellington Middle School were recognized as Colorado Environmental Leadership Bronze Level award winners for work with the United States Department of Education’s “Green Ribbon School.” This award recognizes and rewards organizations and businesses that demonstrate superior environmental performance and, as a result, consistently operate at a level that goes beyond mere compliance with environmental regulations.
