PSD Classified Employees Help Students Succeed!

Poudre School District honors classified employees Oct. 7 - 13 during Classified School Employees Week in Colorado. PSD has approximately 1,508 classified employees, including staff who work directly with students and others who support students indirectly.

Here are a few photos of PSD's classified employees at schools helping students, along with photos of some behind-the-scenes classified employees (from departments like Information Technology, Payroll, the HelpDesk, School Services, etc...) who support students and the district in other ways.

Classified School Employees Week honors classified employees whose work directly or indirectly impacts student learning. From paraprofessionals working one-on-one with students, to office personnel who maintain student records, take care of emergencies, and call parents when students are sick or injured, PSD’s classified employees play an important role in providing an environment conducive to learning.

PSD classified employees work in school and central office positions that do not require teaching certificates. These positions include clerical, construction, custodial, financial, food service, information technology, maintenance, media and instructional technology, paraprofessionals, purchasing, security, transportation, and warehouse.

Individual sites, departments and schools will recognize classified employees in various ways from notes of thanks to appreciation luncheons.
