Sixteen Poudre School District seniors were named semifinalists in the 58th annual National Merit Scholarship program.
Approximately 16,000 semifinalists were selected nationally based on their scores from the 2011 preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The semifinalists, representing less than one percent of high school seniors, includes the highest scoring entrants in each state. Semifinalists will have an opportunity to compete for some 8,300 National Merit Scholarships that will be offered in spring 2013.
