"...Kids love the laptops! They are totally involved in the lesson.  Typing is so much faster than writing, so the lesson was able to proceed with ease..."

"...I have good things about this last round of training from our teachers...Certainly the support and proliferation of BlackBoard use by our teaching staff is a move in the right direction and their increased knowledge of the many things that can be found in Google Apps is beneficial..."

"...One of my IB World History students is a former Lincoln kiddo, ELL, and is also in Reading Improvement here at PHS with Jacqui.  We were doing difficult BlackBoard Socratic Seminar reflective writing yesterday on Hammurabi's Code.  All the kids were on their computers.  When I walked by her desk, she quickly flipped on the tab she was looking at.  I asked her to go back to it - she was using an online Spanish-English dictionary to help her get her written work done. This is a motivated kiddo with a 400-ish lexile, so these tools are crucial to her success.  Here she was, able to access that online and solve her comprehension issue independently.  I praised her a bunch.

This seems like a story that lets people know exactly why we put laptops in the hand of kids..."

"...The kids are super engaged.  A kid who said, "I hate computers" has quickly jumped in and is flying around on the computers already.  The kids aren't doing the bare minimum.  They are writing more and doing more in their work.  The kids don't complain about having to do work..."
